Directories of manufacturers and other businesses in Louisville. This collection consists of two different directories that were published in Louisville in the 1920s. The Louisville trade directory and merchants buyer's guide was published by the Merchants and Manufacturers Association. Louisville "at the falls of the Ohio" directory of manufacturers and products was published by the Louisville Industrial Foundation.

Biographical / Historical

The Louisville Industrial Foundation (LIF) was established in 1916 to provide loans to businesses in the metro Louisville area. LIF was dissolved in 1986 by an agreement of its shareholders. Little is known about the Merchants and Manufacturers Association. It first appears in the Louisville City Directory in 1892.
