The Louisville Industrial Foundation (LIF) was established in 1916 to provide loans to businesses in the metro Louisville area. LIF was dissolved in 1986 by an agreement of its shareholders. Little is known about the Merchants and Manufacturers Association. It first appears in the Louisville City Directory in 1892.
