The Perrys were prominent members of the African American community in Louisville. Victor K. Perry (circa 1905-1996) taught physics at Central High School from the 1920s to the 1950s, as well as coaching the football team. Peggy Perry worked for the Defense Mapping Agency. Victor was grandson of William H. Perry, Sr. for whom Louisvilleās Roosevelt-Perry Elementary School was named.
