The scrapbook was compiled in 1924 and contains newspaper clippings, programs, and sketches dealing with productions of the U of L Players between 1922 and 1925. The photographs depict two theatrical productions performed by the players in the 1925-1926 season, The Swan, and The Shabby Paradise.

Hugh Sutton was a 1926 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Louisville. He belonged to the U of L Players for four years. Following graduation, Sutton participated in the Alumni Players and Little Theater Company. Sutton was an actor, set designer, painter, and stage manager for the companies.
