This 1.25 linear foot collection documents civic activist Ray Whitener's involvement with various local organizations including the Citizen's Advisory Board (1972-1982), Louisville InterNeighborhood Coalition (1983-1985), the South Louisville Neighborhood Council (1983-1985), the Iroquois Civic Club (1970-1985), South Louisville Community Ministries (1973-1985), and the Beechmont Neighborhood Association (1983-1985). Each organization has its own series, followed by a series of miscellaneous other material related to activities in South Louisville.
