These are four letterbooks of Archie Monroe Quarrier's letters spanning the years 1891 to 1900 during his tenure as second vice president of the Louisville and Nashville (L & N) Railroad. Most of the letters discuss personal and family matters but some letters especially those to his brother Cushman, who was the L & N's controller, mention railroad business.
