These are the working drawings of the zoo staff from the construction of the zoo. History: The zoo opened in 1968 on a ninety-eight acre site on Trevilian Way between Newburg and Poplar Level roads. The zoo was made possible by a $1.5 million gift from lumber and hotel tycoon J. Graham Brown. Microfilm created by University of Louisville, University Archives and Records Center, 1980.
