Content Description The thirty-six page "Barbax" report and approximately 150 accompanying slides, mostly of businesses from 800 Baxter Avenue to 1600 Bardstown Road in Louisville's Highlands neighborhood. A selection of slides (some organized) are grouped by block number. Content Description These are the working drawings of the zoo staff from the construction of the zoo. History: The zoo opened in 1968 on a ninety-eight acre site on Trevilian Way between Newburg and Poplar Level roads. The zoo was made possible by a $1.5 million gift from lumber and hotel tycoon J.
