Consists of maps of the Louisville area, including maps of the 1937 Flood.
Maps and atlases of the Louisville/Jefferson County area collected by Archives and Special Collections. A variety of dates are represented, from the early 19th century to the 1970s. Several of the 19th century atlases are reprints. The 1876, 1879, 1884 and 1913 atlases are also available online.
Two bound volumes of real estate plat maps showing property ownership for the area north of Broadway from the Medical Center to Butchertown and Phoenix Hill, then out Bardstown Road to the Trevilian Way neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky. Also includes one volume of real estate transfers that appear to be keyed to the maps. R.F. Wharton was a civil engineer.
