The collection was donated by the author to the University of Louisville Women’s Center and transferred to Archives and Special Collections in 2017. Edward Richardson arranged the transfer of this collection of correspondence, manuscripts, diaries, and work published in periodicals from Jesse Stuart’s W-Hollow home in 1980. The collection, which remains the property of the Jesse Stuart Foundation, also retains the original folder titles and order of the collection as it was moved from filing cabinets and boxes in W-Hollow.
