Scope and Contents Elmer Griffith Sulzer had a distinguished career as a college professor at the University of Kentucky and Indiana University. Over time his writing more and more reflected his life-long love of trains and their history. Sulzer collected railroad material everywhere he went, both domestically and internationally, and wrote five books and more than fifty articles on rail topics for railroad specialized journals.
